Big news, animal lovers — Lion Country Safari just welcomed two adorable African lion cubs on April 21, 2025, and they’re already stealing hearts. 🦁
For the first time ever, the park has launched a Cub Cam livestream, letting fans from anywhere in the world watch these future queens nurse, nap, and play. The best time to catch the action? Between 11 AM and 2 PM daily, when the cubs are at their most playful.
Their proud mama, Mara (age 5), is doing great, and this is her first litter. The cubs’ dad, Vander (age 10), is already a pro — this is his second time in the dad game. Both cubs are healthy and bonding with mom behind the scenes before they make their public debut in the lion habitat later this year.
And get this — you can help name them! Lion Country Safari is inviting the public to vote on names for the two sweet (but fierce!) females. It’s your chance to be part of safari history.
With 12 lions now on site, Lion Country Safari is home to the largest pride of African lions under human care in the AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums). And beyond the baby cuteness, the park continues its vital role in conservation and species survival for these vulnerable animals.
