West Palm Beach is giving people a new way to explore downtown and it’s all through your phone. The Downtown Development Authority just launched DowntownWPB Unlocked, an interactive augmented reality walking tour that turns everyday streets into immersive experiences.
Here’s how it works. You download a free app, walk around downtown, and unlock digital layers at different locations. Think videos, sound, animations, and stories that pop up right on your screen as you explore.
There are 30+ stops across downtown, including public art, landmarks, local shops, and restaurants. Each one adds a new layer of history, culture, or storytelling you wouldn’t normally see.
