Currie Park Boat Ramps Closing for Renovation September 2

Heads up, boaters! Starting Tuesday, September 2, 2025, the Currie Park boat ramps and parking lot (2400 N Flagler Dr.) will shut down for a massive facelift as part of the City of West Palm Beach’s $35.5M Currie Park Redevelopment Project. The revamped park and new boat ramp facilities are expected to reopen in spring 2027 (weather permitting).

Still Open: Sidewalks and tennis courts (accessible from Flagler Drive).

⛴️ Nearby Boat Ramps:

  • Jim Barry Light Harbor Park – 3.1 miles north
  • Phil Foster Park – 4.4 miles north
  • Bryant Park, Lake Worth Beach – 9.1 miles south

What’s Coming to Currie Park:

  • 🌊 New waterfront promenade + expanded marina
  • 🍴 Outdoor dining & shaded seating
  • 🌳 Green spaces for yoga, movies, and events
  • 🌱 Sustainable design (rain gardens, bioswales, native landscaping)
  • 🚲 Upgraded amenities: restrooms, bike racks, playgrounds

This is part of the city’s $86M master plan to transform Currie Park into a premier waterfront destination — and boost surrounding neighborhoods like Northwood Shores and Old Northwood.
