Big Waterfront Restaurant Planned for West Palm Beach’s Currie Park

West Palm Beach’s waterfront could soon get another major destination.

The City has selected Breakwater Hospitality Group, the team behind The Wharf Fort Lauderdale, to move forward with plans for Sea Salt Beach House at Currie Park.

The proposal features a two-story indoor/outdoor restaurant overlooking the Intracoastal with seating for 378 guests, a fresh seafood-focused menu, casual grab-and-go dining, and a second-floor event space for weddings, private events, and community gatherings.

The restaurant would be built as part of the city’s $37 million transformation of Currie Park, helping turn the North Flagler waterfront into a hub for dining, recreation, and public events.

The estimated $18.77 million project is now entering lease negotiations and still requires City Commission approval. If it moves forward, construction is expected to wrap up with a target opening in November 2027.

For West Palm Beach, it’s another sign that the city’s waterfront is continuing to evolve beyond downtown, with Currie Park quickly becoming one of the area’s next major destinations.
