The Curtain Rises: Inside Palm Beach’s Cultural Comeback

Palm Beach is on the verge of a major cultural revival.

Opening in late 2025, Glazer Hall will become the island’s first new nonprofit arts organization in over 60 years — and Palm Beach’s only waterfront performing arts venue. Housed in the historic shell of the Royal Poinciana Playhouse, this iconic location will once again come alive, thanks to the vision and $15M+ philanthropic leadership of Palm Beach residents Jill and Avie Glazer.

Formerly known as The Innovate, the project was renamed Glazer Hall in recognition of the Glazers’ extraordinary commitment to elevating the arts on the island. This landmark project brings new life to a space that has been vacant for over two decades, blending architectural heritage with a bold, future-facing cultural mission.

Built on Legacy. Designed for the Future.

Glazer Hall stands on a legendary site — once home to Henry Flagler’s Royal Poinciana Hotel, the centerpiece of Palm Beach’s Gilded Age social life. After the hotel’s demolition, the land was reimagined by celebrated architect John L. Volk, whose 1958 design of the Royal Poinciana Playhouse became an instant icon of Palm Beach glamour and style. In 2008, the building was officially landmarked by the Town of Palm Beach for its cultural and architectural significance.

Now, after 20+ years of dormancy, the curtains are rising again — this time, with a fresh vision and a year-round celebration of the arts.

What to Expect at Glazer Hall

At the heart of Glazer Hall is a 400-seat theater with state-of-the-art retractable seating, offering an intimate, flexible space for a wide range of world-class performances. But it’s more than just a theater — it’s a full cultural experience.

🎶 Year-Round Programming

From jazz, classical, world music, and Americana to dance, comedy, on-stage interviews, and independent film, Glazer Hall’s calendar will be as diverse as it is dynamic. Programming will also include robust family-friendly shows and arts-in-education initiatives for all ages — from toddlers to seasoned patrons.

🌊 Waterfront Views & Elegant Ambiance

Beyond the stage, guests will enjoy 2,200 square feet of waterfront gathering space, including the Waterview Room, Main Hall, and Grand Lobby — all with sweeping views of the West Palm Beach skyline through 70-foot by 18-foot windows. It’s a one-of-a-kind setting for pre-show mingling, private events, and community gatherings.

A Destination for Arts, Dining & Culture

Glazer Hall isn’t alone in revitalizing this stretch of the Intracoastal. Next door, Tutto Mare — a 200-seat Mediterranean restaurant from the acclaimed Tutto il Giorno Restaurant Group — will bring fine dining to the waterfront, creating a seamless experience of culture, cuisine, and community.

Plus, Glazer Hall will also be neighbors to a curated mix of high-end retail that enhances the cultural atmosphere. Cartier, Loewe, La DoubleJ, and Thom Browne have already been announced as incoming luxury tenants, with one more name to be revealed soon.

Glazer Hall is more than a theater — it’s a movement to restore Palm Beach’s legacy of artistic excellence while shaping its cultural future.
