What Is CityPlace?
CityPlace is a walkable mixed-use district in downtown West Palm Beach combining restaurants, shopping, offices, residences, public spaces and events.
And if you’ve lived here for a while, you’ve watched it change quite a bit.
CityPlace originally opened in 2000 with 31 stores. Macy’s and Barnes & Noble were among its early anchors, while The Cheesecake Factory became one of the development’s best-known original restaurants.
The district was renamed Rosemary Square in 2019 before returning to the CityPlace name in 2022.
Today, it feels much less like the traditional shopping center it started as and increasingly like its own downtown neighborhood. Restaurants and retailers continue to open while new offices, residences and public spaces expand the district around them.

The Cheesecake Factory
One of the original CityPlace restaurants is still going strong more than two decades later. The famously huge menu covers burgers, pasta, steaks, salads and plenty more before you even get to the cheesecake.

Eataly
Eataly transformed the historic Harriet Himmel building into a 23,000-square-foot Italian food destination.

Il Bellagio

Moody Tongue Sushi

Taking Brightline to CityPlace
CityPlace is one of the easiest downtown West Palm Beach destinations to reach by Brightline.
