One of Silicon Valley’s biggest venture capital firms is putting down roots in downtown West Palm Beach.
Andreessen Horowitz, better known as a16z, will establish a regional headquarters for its $1.176 billion American Dynamism fund at CityPlace Tower, 525 Okeechobee Blvd.
What’s Coming to West Palm Beach?
The new office will serve as the Florida base for American Dynamism, which invests in defense, aerospace, manufacturing, public safety, education and other industries.
The firm has signed a long-term lease and is expected to move in during early 2027. It will be a16z’s only South Florida office and the first dedicated office for the American Dynamism fund.
Why This Is a Big Deal
West Palm Beach has spent years attracting financial firms. A16z adds something different: one of the country’s most prominent technology investors and a major pool of capital for companies actually building in aerospace, defense, manufacturing and other emerging industries.
The timing is significant. Vanderbilt University is planning a graduate campus in West Palm Beach, new defense and technology accelerator programs are taking shape, and Florida already has a major aerospace and defense industry.
Together, those pieces could help West Palm Beach evolve from a destination for finance and wealth management into a place where technology companies are also funded, built and grown.
