New Renderings Reveal Plans for Downtown West Palm Beach Publix

New renderings offer a closer look at the proposed Publix supermarket in downtown West Palm Beach, just one block north of Clematis Street.

The plans call for a two-story, 70,000-square-foot grocery store occupying the entire 600 block of Banyan Street, including property along North Rosemary Avenue.

What’s Planned for the New Publix?

The proposed 51-foot-tall building would feature a full-service supermarket, liquor store, in-store dining area and additional retail space.

Outside, plans include a landscaped public plaza along Rosemary Avenue, with seating, shade and large curved planters. A surface parking lot would provide convenient access for shoppers.

The project would bring a full-service grocery store back to the heart of downtown West Palm Beach, serving nearby residents, workers and visitors.

When Will the Publix Open?

An opening date has not been announced. Publix is seeking several variances related to storefronts and open space requirements, which are still moving through the city’s approval process. The project has not yet received all necessary approvals.
