A new kind of women’s golf is about to tee off in Palm Beach County.
WTGL, the new team golf league created by TMRW Sports in partnership with the LPGA, launches its inaugural season November 8, 2026 at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens.
The league brings together 25 players across five teams for a faster, more personality-driven version of professional golf, complete with technology, a shot clock, team strategy, players mic’d up and plenty of room for trash talk.
Think less quiet Sunday afternoon. More high-energy arena golf.
What Is WTGL?
WTGL builds on the format introduced by TGL, but puts some of the biggest names in women’s golf at center stage.
The five inaugural teams are:
- Atlanta Drive GC
- Boston Common Golf
- Los Angeles Golf Club
- Motor City Golf Club
- New York Golf Club
The rosters include Michelle Wie West, Lexi Thompson, Lydia Ko, Rose Zhang, Charley Hull, Minjee Lee, Brooke Henderson, Danielle Kang and other LPGA stars.
Each two-hour match features three players from each team competing head-to-head. The league describes the style it is building as modern, high-velocity, and relentlessly competitive.
Players will also be mic’d up, giving fans a chance to hear more of the strategy, conversations and personalities behind the competition.
Why WTGL Could Be Big for Women’s Golf
The league is designed to give women’s golf something it has not traditionally had: a dedicated team competition built for national primetime television. Matches will air across ESPN, ESPN2, ABC and ION throughout the inaugural season.
The players themselves see an opportunity to bring new fans into the sport.
WTGL “is the coolest thing that could happen to women’s golf,” Motor City Golf Club’s Albane Valenzuela said.
Her teammate Lexi Thompson put the goal simply: “Any chance to grow the women’s game is our highest priority.”
Beyond the competition, WTGL is leaning into team identities, rivalries and player personalities in an effort to give fans more reasons to follow the players from match to match.
SoFi Center Becomes the Home of WTGL
And it is all happening in Palm Beach County. Every match will be played at the 1,500-seat SoFi Center on the Palm Beach State College campus in Palm Beach Gardens.
The tech-driven venue combines a massive simulator with real short-game play on a rotating green that can change between holes, bringing fans much closer to the action than at a traditional golf tournament. The WTGL setup will also introduce new elements to the course, including a new hole designed by golf legend Annika Sörenstam.
For Palm Beach County, that means SoFi Center will now serve as the home of both TGL and a nationally televised women’s professional sports league.
When Does WTGL Start?
The inaugural season begins Sunday, November 8, 2026, when Los Angeles Golf Club takes on New York Golf Club at 3 p.m. on ESPN. That opening match alone will feature Michelle Wie West, Lydia Ko, Danielle Kang, Rose Zhang and several other LPGA standouts.
The regular season includes 10 matches, followed by four-team semifinals and a best-of-three Finals December 22 and 23.

Tickets for the inaugural WTGL season go on sale tomorrow.
Fans will be able to attend all 10 regular-season matches, followed by the playoffs and Finals from December 20-23 at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens.
Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.
