More people are visiting The Palm Beaches than ever before.
Palm Beach County welcomed 6.09 million visitors during the first half of 2026, up 6.4% from the same period last year and setting a new tourism record for the destination.
The increase is showing up at local hotels, too. Hotel room revenue jumped 11% to $918 million during the first six months of the year, while average occupancy reached 77%.
Canadian Visitors Buck Florida’s Trend
One of the more interesting numbers came from Canada.
Canadian visitation to Palm Beach County increased 1.8% during the first half of 2026 even as Canadian tourism across Florida fell 13.9%. During the second quarter alone, Canadian visits to Palm Beach County jumped 12.5%.
Domestic travel also increased 8.6%, led by continued growth from markets including New York, Dallas, Houston, Washington and Philadelphia. International visitation was up 6%, with strong growth from Colombia, the United Kingdom and Brazil.
Tourism Growth Is Continuing
The momentum carried into summer, with lodging demand increasing in both July and August. September demand is forecast to rise 15%, helped in part by West Palm Beach hosting the Miss America competition.
Tourism remains a major piece of Palm Beach County’s economy, generating an estimated $11.6 billion in annual economic impact and supporting nearly 95,000 local jobs.
