A major redevelopment could be coming to the West Palm Beach waterfront.
Orlando-based Unicorp National Development is under contract to acquire the 144-unit La Fontana condominium at 2800 N. Flagler Drive in a roughly $200 million bulk sale, with plans to replace the 65-year-old property with a luxury hotel and branded condominiums.
What’s Planned for La Fontana?
Unicorp President Chuck Whittall plans two towers rising no more than 15 stories.
One would include about 50 condominiums, while the other would feature a luxury hotel with approximately 140 to 160 rooms.
Potential amenities include a high-end restaurant, spa and rooftop bar overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. The waterfront property also has riparian rights that allow for boat slips.
Which Luxury Hotel Brand?
That hasn’t been decided yet.
Unicorp is considering several luxury hotel brands, including Marriott’s EDITION and InterContinental, but no final agreement is in place.
The project would join a growing wave of luxury branded residences and hotels planned or under development across West Palm Beach.
For now, the La Fontana sale and redevelopment remain in progress, with the final hotel brand and development plans still to be determined.
