West Palm Beach continues to attract second-home buyers, leading the nation in vacation home mortgages for 2025, according to a new Redfin report.
Here’s what the report found:
- 836 mortgages were issued for vacation homes in the West Palm Beach metro last year.
- Vacation homes accounted for 5.5% of all mortgages in the area — the highest share of any major U.S. metro.
- The median value of a financed second home was $695,000.
- West Palm Beach ranked ahead of the Jersey Shore and California’s Palm Springs area.
Nationally, vacation home purchases increased for the first time in four years, driven largely by high-income buyers who continue to invest in luxury and second-home properties despite higher interest rates and home prices.
