The Sunoco gas station in Palm Beach is the island’s only full-service gas station. The property recently changed hands for $11.94 million, as the property was sold by Peter Berley to local real estate investor Alexander Hufty Griswold. Located at 340 S. County Road, the station has long been a community fixture, often frequented by luxury cars.
Griswold has stated that he is committed to preserving the station’s service to the community. However, it would be plausible if the property or surrounding area was developed (e.g., some additional commercial space around it). Nevertheless, it seems that, for the time being, the Sunoco gas station will remain in place for years to come.
