If you’re dreaming of a perfect day in Palm Beach and West Palm Beach, there’s no better time than a Saturday during the season, which, if you are not familiar, is from October to April in this “neck of the woods.” With sunny skies, vibrant local culture, and stunning waterfront views, here is how to make the perfect day in Palm Beach and West Palm Beach:
Pick a Saturday: Get to this tropical paradise on a Saturday with an optimistic weather forecast.
Peruse the GreenMarket: Kick off your day at the West Palm Beach GreenMarket, held every Saturday during season (other than March 22, 2025) from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, along the scenic waterfront on Clematis Street. With over 130 vendors, you can explore local produce, artisanal goods, and delicious snacks, while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to grab a fresh juice or smoothie to energize you for the day ahead.
Scenic Bike Ride on the Lake Trail: After your market adventure, rent a bike (or bring your own) and head over the Okeechobee Bridge to the Lake Trail in the Town of Palm Beach. Stay on the left/north side and take a hard left after the bridge to find the start of the Trail. Enjoy stunning views of downtown West Palm Beach, the water, and magnificent homes as you pedal north. Don’t miss passing by the historic Flagler Museum. If you’re up for a challenge, continue north until the Trail ends, then weave through the charming streets to find a public dock on the very north end of the island. Take a break and watch the boats go in and out from the intercoastal waters to the Atlantic Ocean.
Lunch at Buccan Sandwich Shop or a Juice Stop: Depending on your route, stop for a refreshing juice or smoothie at Celis Juice Bar. If you’re feeling hungry, skip the juice and head to Buccan Sandwich Shop for a delicious sandwich. Grab your sandwich from the pick-up window and walk east to a small park with teal tables and chairs. Or, walk all the way east to the ocean for a waterside picnic.

Hidden Gems: Feeling adventurous? Cruise inland to find hidden parks, courtyards, and koi ponds scattered between The Breakers and Worth Avenue. If you want to explore the island even more, consider renting a Moke to cruise around in style.
Freshen Up and Grab Dinner: After a day in the sun, you will have certainly earned a top-notch dinner. Palm Beach and West Palm Beach feature hundreds of dining selections combined. You can find your perfect fit here on Palm Beach Now.
Sweet Treat at Piccolo Gelato: Regardless of where you have dinner—whether in West Palm Beach or on the island of Palm Beach—don’t forget to treat yourself to dessert. One of our favorite desserts is a scoop of gelato at Piccolo Gelato near Worth Avenue. Grab a cone or a cup, and take a stroll along Worth Avenue, where you can continue to explore hidden courtyards, window shop the high-end boutiques and shops, and end your evening with a view of the Atlantic Ocean.
Nightcaps and More: If you’re in the mood for a nightcap, head to HMF at The Breakers, which is an iconic hotel that is over 100 years old and still privately owned. This chic bar is the place to see and be seen while enjoying an elegant cocktail. There are plenty of options for nighttime bars and entertainment for those who want to keep the night going in both Palm Beach (near the Royal Poinciana (e.g., Cucina, a lively restaurant that transforms into a club atmosphere) or near Worth Avenue) and West Palm Beach if you head back to Clematis Street, where you started your day.
