The Palm Beaches just added another title, as it was officially named the Sea Turtle Capital of Florida™.
From March through October, 47 miles of coastline transform into one of the most active sea turtle nesting areas in the world, producing an estimated 2 million hatchlings each year.
It’s a natural experience that’s part of everyday life here. Visitors can witness nesting season, join guided programs, and learn about conservation efforts, all while enjoying the area’s beaches.
The designation also reflects ongoing work to protect marine life, from research and rehabilitation to education and outreach.
It’s a simple reminder that in the Palm Beaches, the beach experience comes with something extra in one of nature’s most remarkable cycles happening in real time.
