Palm Beach International Airport is getting a new name this summer, but for most travelers, not much else will change.
Beginning July 9, 2026, the airport will officially become President Donald J. Trump International Airport, following a state law approved earlier this year.
Here’s what to know:
- The airport will continue to be owned and operated by Palm Beach County, and flights, airlines, parking, and daily operations will remain the same.
- The airport code will stay PBI until August 18, 2026, when it officially changes to DJT. Travelers should continue using PBI when booking flights until then.
- The transition will be paid for through airport revenues and other airport funding sources, not local property taxes.
- Signage, branding, and other updates will be rolled out in phases following the official name change.
While the airport will soon have a new name, officials say travelers can expect the same airport experience throughout the transition.
