Mary Lou’s: West Palm Beach’s Glamorous New Lounge Opens Soon!

West Palm Beach is about to welcome its newest hotspot: Mary Lou’s, an opulent speakeasy-inspired cocktail lounge slated to open soon (expected to open January 24, 2025). Located in the historic circular building at 250 Southern Blvd—formerly Berto’s Bait & Tackle—Mary Lou’s seamlessly blends local history with vintage charm and modern sophistication.

Mary Lou’s pays tribute to Palm Beach fashion icon Mary Lou Curtis, who was known for inventing the back zip pant and dressing icons like Jackie O., Betty White, and Dina Merrill (and who is the grandmother of co-owner Alex Melillo). Her playful philosophy, always have a sense of ridiculousness,” guides every detail of the lounge, which are designed to surprise and delight.

Co-founded by hospitality veterans Alex Melillo, Joe Cervasio, and Topher Grubb, Mary Lou’s is more than a bar—it’s an experience. Guests enter through a rustic, nostalgic entryway before discovering a stunning, multi-layered lounge adorned with ornate wood paneling, surrealist murals, and antique velvet drapery, creating the perfect atmosphere for dining, dancing, and reveling in the unexpected.

Guests can look forward to expertly crafted cocktails, including a standout martini program, complemented by delectable light bites. Adding to the allure, The Chainsmokers, serving as creative entertainment directors, are set to bring their signature energy to the opening party and a season of dynamic live performances that promise to keep the vibe electric.

Keep an eye on @MaryLousPB on Instagram or visit www.marylouspb.com for updates, and prepare for a nightlife experience that’s as bold and unique as its namesake. Will you be there when the doors open?
