We hit The Blind Monk for its Thursday night smash burger special, which was a juicy standout. We also ventured past the burgers. The sauteed roast chicken (which is a popular dish) is tender and comforting, complemented by a rich, savory jus. For something different, the mussels escabeche with crispy plantains adds an unexpected, delightful bite. Don’t miss the fried gnocchi dessert—it’s a hidden surprise that’s crispy, sweet, and pretty addictive. The decor is stylish yet relaxed, ideal for any occasion. With an excellent natural wine list and cocktail selection, The Blind Monk is a local favorite that never disappoints.
