Description

The third show of Palm Beach Dramaworks' 26th season! Driving Miss Daisy tells the heartwarming story of an unexpected friendship that blossoms over 25 years between Daisy Werthan, a strong-willed, 72-year-old Jewish widow, and Hoke Coleburn, her patient Black chauffeur. Set in Georgia beginning in 1948, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play explores themes of race, aging, and human connection with humor and grace. As the years pass, their bond deepens, transforming skepticism into genuine affection and respect. Starring Debra Jo Rupp of That ’70s Show, this timeless story reminds audiences that friendship can bridge even the widest divides.
