City Cellar, a longtime fixture in downtown West Palm Beach, will close on May 24, 2026, after more than 25 years. The CityPlace restaurant, along with its sister concept Barrio, will shut down as its lease comes to an end.
Opened in 2000 as part of CityPlace’s original lineup, City Cellar became a go-to spot for locals and business professionals. Known for its wine program and consistent dining experience, it remained a steady presence in the area for decades.
With the closing impacting almost 100 employees, the parent company Big Time Restaurant Group plans to place as many employees as possible into roles at its other nearby concepts.
The closure marks the end of one of downtown’s longest-running and most recognizable restaurants.
