A New Holiday Tradition Sets Sail: The Boat Parade of the Greater Palm Beaches

Get ready, Palm Beach — the holidays are hitting the water in a big way. 🚤✨

This December 13, 2025, the first-ever Boat Parade of the Greater Palm Beaches will light up the Intracoastal with fireworks, festive music, and more than 50 dazzlingly decorated boats. It’s the newest addition to Palm Beach County’s holiday lineup — and it’s already making waves.

🌊 The Celebration

Launching from Sailfish Marina on Singer Island at 6 PM, the parade kicks off with a six-minute fireworks show before cruising south toward West Palm Beach, looping past Safe Harbor Rybovich, then heading north to North Palm Beach.

Expect glowing yachts, themed light displays, and costumed crews — all competing for the brightest and most creative holiday spirit.

🎅 The KVJ Show from WRMF joins as Grand Marshals alongside Santa Claus himself, and the event benefits the Little Smiles Annual Holiday Toy Drive, helping bring holiday joy to local kids in need.

📍 Where to Watch

You don’t need a boat to join the fun — some of the best free viewing spots include:

  • Osprey Park
  • Brian H. Chappell Park
  • Bicentennial Park
  • Kelsey Park

Want to go big? VIP tickets at Sailfish Marina include waterfront dining buffet, live entertainment, festive activities, and the best view of the illuminated flotilla.

🎁 A Parade with Purpose

This isn’t just about twinkling lights — it’s about community connection. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Little Smiles, a local nonprofit supporting children in hospitals, shelters, and foster care during the holidays.

🚧 Why It’s Not Sailing South

The parade was originally planned to head down the Intracoastal toward Palm Beach, but the Palm Beach Town Council said “no-go” due to holiday traffic concerns. Officials worried that raising the Flagler Memorial Bridge for nearly an hour could cause gridlock — especially if the president is in town that weekend, when the Southern Boulevard Bridge might already be closed for security.

West Palm Beach gave its approval, but since both sides of the bridge must agree, Palm Beach’s decision rerouted the parade north instead. Still, organizers say the show will go on — and it’ll be spectacular.
