Vanderbilt’s West Palm Beach Campus Gets Major Boost with $80M Land Gift

Vanderbilt Greene Land Donation

Vanderbilt University’s planned West Palm Beach campus just gained major momentum thanks to a significant land donation from local developer Jeff Greene and his wife, Mei Sze Greene.

The couple donated more than an acre of prime downtown land—valued at approximately $80 million, which is the largest philanthropic gift that the Greens have made to date—helping create a more unified footprint for the future graduate campus. The gift connects key parcels alongside land already contributed by the City of West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County, bringing the total campus size to over 8 acres.

Located near Brightline, Clematis Street, and the city’s core, the campus is expected to focus on business, engineering, finance, and emerging technologies like AI and data science. Once completed, the campus is expected to welcome around 1,000 graduate students and further position West Palm Beach as a growing hub for innovation, talent, and economic growth.
