Palm Beach Just Scored the Priciest Pickleball Team in MLP History

Pickleball fans, take note: Major League Pickleball (MLP) is bringing a brand-new franchise to town. The Palm Beach Royals will join the league for the 2026 season, making them Florida’s fourth MLP team.

The Royals were purchased at the highest valuation in league history by tech entrepreneurs and former UNC tennis teammates Zach Hunter and Taylor Meyer of Hyperspace Ventures. More celebrity and pro-athlete investors are expected to join the ownership group soon.

No word yet on their player lineup or GM, but the league says those details — including how the team will build its roster — will be revealed in the 2025 offseason.

Palm Beach, get ready. Your Royals are coming — and they’re swinging big.
