Heads up, shoppers! Florida’s Back to School Sales Tax Holiday is back from August 1–31, 2025 — and it’s the perfect excuse to stock up (tax-free!) on school and tech essentials.
Here’s what qualifies for the tax break (as long as each item is under the limit):
🎒 School Supplies – $50 or less
👕 Clothing & Footwear – $100 or less
💻 Personal Computers & Accessories – $1,500 or less (for personal use only)
🧩 Learning Aids & Puzzles – $30 or less
👜 Bags & Backpacks – $100 or less (briefcases/suitcases don’t count)
There’s no limit on how many qualifying items you can buy — just stick to the price caps.
A few things don’t qualify, like game consoles, rentals, items bought at theme parks or airports, or anything over the price limit. And nope — you can’t cheat the system with BOGO deals.
📦 Online purchases? Totally included — as long as the order is placed during the holiday.

💡 Pro tip: If a store charges you tax by mistake, you can request a refund — bring your receipt and this TIP No. 25A01-08 to back you up.
Happy (tax-free) shopping! ✏️🖥️👟
